Artist Statement: Currently I’m focusing on "intuitive abstract" compositions, inspired by nature and science. These new paintings begin as experimental relationships of geometric and organic forms (outlines of found objects or handmade stencils) without any preconceived composition. My media is a mix of acrylic, pastel and spray paint. I experiment with dynamic textures, raw edges and smooth airbrush effects -- traditional painting techniques with a contemporary urban twist. The resulting canvases have been described as "acknowledging the past and reaching for the future".
